About This Position

Supportive Housing Coordinator $28.58/hour

Position Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating daily activities for residents living in a Supportive Housing site. This position will provide 20 hours of on-site coverage at the site to maintain a visible presence at the site and provide information and support to residents.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Coordinates the Supportive Housing Program
  • Provide 20 hours of on-site coverage at the site location.
  • Provide back-up coverage at other Supportive sites as needed.
  • Organizes, sponsors, and oversees recreational, educational, and culturally and linguistically competent programs on a weekly basis to build community and address isolation among building residents.
  • Provides assistance by linking residents to community agencies that can provide the services needed and wanted by each resident.
  • Collaborate with the local Housing Authority and assigned vendor in the building.
  • Keep residents informed of the 24-hour access emergency response system.
  • Maintains a regular, visible presence at the supportive housing site.
  • Completes calendars, newsletters and flyers for events and activities monthly to distribute.
  • Purchase items for sites and events and reconcile purchases, receipts, and invoices with Bristol’s Finance Department.
  • Oversee an onsite meals program and be knowledgeable of community programs to help residents address any food instability issues.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s preferred and/or experience in the field of human services or related field.

Experience: Experience with organizing group activities beneficial.

Special Skills/Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to effectively relate to a wide variety of personalities. Ability to engage individuals in participation of group activities. Basic computer skills, organizational and time management skills as well as creative skills.

Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
