Product Quality Specialist

Location: Clearwater, Florida | Full-Time, Hybrid (four days in office, one day remote)

This entry level Product Quality Specialist is responsible for supporting product quality across the entire product lifecycle—from development and overseas manufacturing through inbound inspection, warehousing, and customer delivery. This role focuses on defect prevention, issue investigation, and continuous improvement to ensure products meet specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Product Quality Assurance
    • Ensure products meet approved specifications, drawings, samples, and workmanship standards
    • Support quality reviews during new product development and product changes
    • Assist with first article, pilot run, and production approvals
    • Review inspection results and quality data to identify trends
  • Manufacturing & Supplier Quality Support

    • Support overseas suppliers in meeting product quality requirements
    • Review inspection reports and follow up on corrective actions
    • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
    • Escalate recurring or high-risk quality issues to Quality Management
  • Inbound & Distribution Quality

    • Support incoming quality inspections at ports or domestic warehouses
    • Investigate warehouse, handling, or packaging-related quality issues
  • Returns & Customer Quality Issues

    • Investigate customer complaints, returns, and quality claims
    • Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical, documentation and organizational skills with meticulous attention.
  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional and external collaboration.
  • Proficient in documentation management and technical data review.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong critical thinking – probes for answers to questions on multiple levels.
  • Ability to manage MULTIPLE projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of CAPA process
  • Knowledge on how to conduct basic root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with product safety standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degrees with at least two years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with at least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in industrial Engineering, manufacturing Engineering, mechanical engineering, quality assurance/quality management, supply chain management, or business with quality focus
