Description
The Manager, Product Data Management (PDM) is responsible for developing and implementing the company's Product Catalog, ensuring that product information is consistent, accurate and available for all business channels, enhancing operations and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Product Data Management (PDM) Strategy & Implementation
- Define the long-term vision and strategic direction for Product Data Management (PDM) aligning product catalog initiatives with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, optimization and governance of the Product Data Management (PDM) System.
- Develop and utilize automated data sharing (API, EDI, FTP..etc) ensuring integration to intake and distribute product data across all internal and external channels.
- Product Data Optimization, Management & Syndication
- Establishes and enforces data governance standards and lineage tracking to ensure high data quality, consistency, and compliance across all platforms.
- Develop, implement and maintain product tools, databases and processes to support product strategies in a competitive environment.
- Oversees PDM Operations, including managing product updates, descriptions, attributes, lifecycle ensuring accuracy across all platforms.
- Manages the distribution of the product catalog for “syndication” to various sales and marketing channels, including configure price quote (CPQ) e-commerce websites, marketplaces, distributor partners in any formats and configurations.
- Product Analysis and Reporting
- Provide strategic product analysis and recommendations to senior leadership to influence key business decisions.
- Evaluate and analyze the impact of market conditions on products, tracking metrics and making data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Under a regular cadence conduct product catalog audits for data accuracy, compliancy and optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, pricing, manufacturing and finance teams to ensure product strategies are aligned with overall business goals.
- Leading and mentoring a team of product professionals as required.
- Ensure seamless data flow and alignment on product information requirements with all external business partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 10+ Years in Product Management (Semiconductor Industry Preferred).
- Deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data governance.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with data analysis and market research.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly when interacting with senior leadership.
- Proficiency in data management and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of e-commerce product dynamics (if applicable).
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, marketing, economics), MBA Preferred
