Dance Department Stage Crew- Minor Latham PlayhouseMajor duties will include assisting the Dance Department’s Director of Production in all aspects of presenting a fully produced show by Barnard College’s Dance Department at the Minor Latham Playhouse, March 13- 30, 2026.Job Description:
Responsibilities during Load-In / Load -Out include:
The installation/operation/ & removal of temporary stage equipment such as:
Lighting
Sound
Video
Dance linoleum (marley)
Loading / unloading trucks
Responsibilities During Technical Rehearsals & Performances include:
Maintaining safe & clean performance & backstage areas
Communicating with performers, choreographers, and crew as needed.
Programming & Operation of lighting, sound & video equipment.
Participating in all backstage transitions between pieces during the shows.
Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants should have previous production support experience at a professional level and should be good at both receiving and providing direction within an intensive rehearsal process. Someone who performs well under pressure is desired.

Hourly Rate: $35
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
