Position Overview

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to begin their career building healthcare applications that make a real difference. You will join a supportive development team using .NET/C# and React JS, learning the full software development lifecycle while contributing to products used by healthcare operations teams daily. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career developers who are eager to learn, write code, and grow into skilled full-stack engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop features and fix bugs in full-stack web applications using .NET (C#) and React JS under senior developer guidance

• Write clean, well-documented code following team coding standards and best practices

• Learn to build and consume RESTful APIs that integrate with healthcare data systems

• Work with MSSQL databases, writing basic queries and learning Entity Framework patterns

• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives

• Collaborate with QA engineers to test your work and learn debugging techniques

• Participate in code reviews — both giving and receiving feedback to accelerate your learning

• Write unit tests to build good testing habits early in your career

• Proactively ask questions, seek feedback, and document what you learn for future reference

Required Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent self-taught/bootcamp background)

• Foundational knowledge of C# or a similar object-oriented programming language

• Basic understanding of web development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts

• Exposure to Git version control through coursework, internships, or personal projects

• Strong problem-solving skills and genuine enthusiasm for learning software development

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or project experience with .NET, React, or similar web technologies

• Familiarity with REST APIs and HTTP fundamentals

• Exposure to agile development concepts (Scrum, Kanban)

• Personal projects or open-source contributions that demonstrate initiative

• Any cloud platform familiarity (Azure, AWS) through coursework or certifications

What Success Looks Like

• In 90 days: You have completed onboarding, delivered your first bug fixes and small features to production, and are comfortable with the development workflow and codebase navigation

• In 6 months: You are independently handling small-to-medium features with decreasing supervision, contributing meaningfully to code reviews, and your code is passing review on first or second attempt

Ongoing: You are growing steadily toward a mid-level engineer role, taking on more complex tasks, and recognized by the team as a relia
