Responsibilities:

• Must manage the overall procurement strategy to ensure efficient sourcing with the best cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Must handle supplier relationships and lead contract negotiations.
• Must identify cost saving opportunities across raw materials, packaging, and manufacturing supplies.
• Develop and maintain procurement policies that align with overall business goals.
• Identify inventory spend variances and report findings with recommended corrective actions to senior leadership.
• Must oversee the entire order management process from requisition to delivery and support continuous improvement in procurement workflows.
• Work closely with finance, costing, and R&D teams on RFQs for new and existing products.
• Analyze procurement data, metrics, and trends to support informed decision making and highlight improvement areas.
• Identify new local and international suppliers, negotiate terms, and secure reliable material supply.
• Work with vendors to resolve issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery.
• Manage logistics and freight for both local and international inbound materials.
• Stay updated on market trends, economic changes, and regulations that may impact procurement activities.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and complete additional tasks as needed to support business operations.
• Must hire, train, and retain procurement team members to ensure strong department performance.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience managing procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in contract negotiation and understanding of supply chain processes.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to find the root cause of supply issues and create effective solutions.
• Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) is a plus; experience in manufacturing or similar industries is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation abilities with strong communication skills and the ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
• Procurement: 10 years (Required)
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry (Required)
