This is more than an administrative role—you’ll be a trusted resource for students, helping them understand their options, navigate requirements, and stay on track toward their educational goals.

What You’ll Do

As a Financial Aid Advisor, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of financial aid support while delivering a positive and supportive student experience:

  • Meet with prospective and current students to explain financial aid options, eligibility, and tuition breakdowns
  • Assist students with completing applications and determining financial need
  • Collect and verify required documentation (tax forms, transcripts, diplomas, etc.)
  • Manage ISIR data, make corrections, and maintain accurate records
  • Certify Title IV loans and process updates or adjustments
  • Prepare and distribute financial aid award letters
  • Counsel students on borrower responsibilities during their first weeks of class
  • Track student files, maintain logs, and prepare weekly status reports
  • Collaborate with admissions and other departments to resolve incomplete applications or delays
  • Stay current on financial aid regulations and ensure compliance
  • Provide general administrative and phone support as needed
What You Bring

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service or financial aid-related work
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and data
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computers and standard office software

Preferred:

  • Training or coursework in financial aid or a related field
  • Experience at a Title IV-approved institution
  • Familiarity with student information systems or financial aid platforms
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • You’re highly organized and can manage multiple tasks without missing details
  • You communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse student populations
  • You’re proactive, dependable, and committed to follow-through
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • You’re adaptable and willing to support other departments or campuses when needed
Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package along with a strong suite of benefits to support you:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-paid long-term disability (LTD)
  • Supplemental benefits options
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) package
Why Join Us?

You’ll be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to helping students succeed. Your work will have a direct impact on students’ ability to access education and achieve their goals.
