About This Position
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Intelligence Engineer in the United States.
This role sits at the core of a rapidly evolving AI-native organization building the next generation of voice and data intelligence systems. You will be the founding engineer of a new Data Intelligence function, responsible for transforming complex, high-volume data into autonomous, agent-ready systems that power decision-making at scale. Working closely with data leadership, you will design the semantic and analytical foundation that enables AI agents to query, reason, and act on business-critical data. This is not a traditional analytics role — you will build the infrastructure that replaces static dashboards with dynamic, API-driven intelligence layers. The environment is fast-paced, experimental, and deeply AI-driven, requiring constant adaptation and hands-on innovation. You will operate at the intersection of data engineering, AI systems, and product intelligence, helping shape how modern organizations understand and use their data. This is a high-impact, foundational role for engineers who want to build systems that redefine how machines interact with data.
- Design and build semantic data models and dbt/SQL transformations that serve as the trusted foundation for complex usage-based and revenue-driven metrics.
- Develop agent-facing tools and frameworks that enable autonomous querying, reasoning, and insight generation across distributed data systems.
- Build and maintain data infrastructure that connects product, billing, CRM, and operational systems into a unified intelligence layer.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure data contracts are reliable, scalable, and optimized for AI agent consumption.
- Lead initiatives to transform unstructured data (including internal voice/audio data) into structured, queryable insights for business and product teams.
- Automate repetitive analytical workflows by replacing manual SQL processes with scalable code and agent-based solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of an AI-first data ecosystem where systems continuously learn, adapt, and self-optimize.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or AI/data platform roles in high-growth environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience building production-grade data pipelines and transformations.
- Experience designing or working with RAG systems, agent-based architectures, or AI-native data workflows.
- Deep understanding of usage-based SaaS metrics, including revenue attribution, NRR, consumption models, and product analytics.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to design scalable, modular, and reliable data architectures.
- Comfortable working in evolving, ambiguous environments with a strong bias toward building and iteration.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across engineering, product, and data leadership teams.
- Nice to have: experience in software engineering or real-time data/usage billing systems.
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and mental health support.
- Unlimited PTO and flexible scheduling to support work-life integration.
- Competitive 401(k) plan with company match and tax-saving programs.
- Annual wellness stipend and quarterly productivity stipend.
- Learning and development budget, including training, conferences, and education support.
- Home office setup stipend and ongoing remote work support.
- Generous parental leave and family support programs.
- Access to AI enablement workshops and continuous upskilling initiatives.
- Inclusive, collaborative environment with Employee Resource Groups.
- Equity participation and competitive compensation aligned with experience.
