Kindergarten Enrichment Lead Teacher at A Child's Place – Wayne, Pennsylvania

A Child’s Place Extended Care is looking to hire a Kindergarten Enrichment Teacher Tredyffrin-Easttown at Valley Forge Elementary. We are looking for individuals who have an enthusiastic personality and enjoy working in both indoor and outdoor environments with children. A sense of fun, concern for safety and an interest in working with children and parents is essential, as is being a good role model. Hours are 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday - This position is to start immediately and go until June 12th - the position will resume at the end of August 2026 and run until June 2027.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and supplement the school district’s Kindergarten curriculum
• Create relationships with district employees in your school
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and policies and procedures to maintain order among students
• Observe and evaluate children’s performance, behavior, social development and physical health 2 times per year
• Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
• Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioral and academic problems.
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
• Prepare materials, classrooms, and other indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate an effective learning environment
• Monitors group of students in a variety of settings (e.g. snack time, group or individual activities, playground activities, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or in a Human Services Field
• Two plus years of experience working with /teaching children
• Experience working collaboratively with teachers
• Experience with classroom management and lesson planning
