Position Summary

This is an ONSITE position located in Washington, DC.

NCC is seeking a Senior Audio Visual Collaboration Specialist to support the CFTC, a world class financial agency engaged in policy and governance with impacts at all levels of the United States government. Those working for the organization are dedicated, demanding, and fair. This position will provide direct customer service and technology support to all guests, users, and executive staff.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Perform moderately complex technical functions in support of audio visual and video teleconferencing infrastructure such as: set up, operation, maintenance, configuration, modification, functionality enhancement, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of components and systems .
  • Assist with equipment installations: setup, storage, and recommendations.
  • Operation of PTZ cameras, NewTek Tricaster, and various microphones in a live hybrid event environment.
  • Setup and breakdown of all special events/corporate meetings.
  • Plan and pre-produce event graphics to ensure smooth and effective event.
  • Operate video equipment, cameras, sound equipment for webcasting events.
  • Execute events with white glove service to clients.
  • Daily system testing to ensure equipment and room functionality.
  • Perform remote testing for local and regional offices.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.
  • Diagnose and isolate malfunctions, and makes necessary repairs and work arounds in a live environment.
  • Repair and/or modify equipment returned by operational users.
  • Test new software releases for audio visual and video teleconferencing devices to ensure interoperability with existing infrastructure; support monthly maintenance window activities.
  • Support change and configuration management and associated documentation requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant audio-visual technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Review and research new video technologies for the future network requirements and technology updates.
  • Utilize ticket system for daily ticket requirements, maintenance activities and the creation of Change Requests and Knowledge management artifacts.
  • Prepare and position audio, video, and lighting equipment for broadcast and recordings.
  • Prepare and operate teleprompter with scripts.
  • Participates in engineering projects/efforts as tasked by management.
  • Monitor and maintain Audio Visual enterprise and assure maximum system uptime, component patching, alarm resolution and disaster recovery-continued operation planning.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Digital Media, Audio/Video, or related field OR 4 years of equivalent work experience in a related setting.
  • Experience with Zoom Communications and MS Team Products.
  • Experience managing and maintaining Audio Visual legacy equipment.
  • Previous experience providing Tier 1 and/or 2 support to investigate and resolve problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with Professional Video Production Software and hardware.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned work with minimal oversight as required.
  • Experience working with in a team environment supporting studio and live video production initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications of one or more of the following:
    • AVIXA CTS
    • AVoIP Certifications (Dante, Crestron, NDI)
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products with the ability to produce edited video products, cinematic visual effects and motion graphics.
  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow Ticketing system
  • Experience with PC/MAC IT Management in an enterprise environment.
  • Graphic design and/or other creative skillsets.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm ET

Travel: There may be some travel to regional offices in Kansas City, New York City, and/or Chicago, if additional support is required.

Environment/Physical Demands: Must be able to: lift up to 50 lbs at a time, sit for extended periods of time, maintain focus and attention on live event production and operation for long periods of time (estimated 5 to 6 hours) with minimal breaks.
