Forging Hammer Assistant

Position Summary

Steel Forgings Inc. (SFI) is a leading manufacturer of custom butt weld fittings that has been servicing the oil and gas industry for over 70 years. SFI is seeking an individual in our small forging hammer workstation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist lead hammer operator and other operator’s product handling.
• Coordinate required tooling changes with other operators.
• Know and understand the quality and presentation requirements for all products.
• Keep work area free and clear of all potential safety hazards.
• Follow all company-standard and position-specific safety requirements.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
• Report any unsafe working conditions to the Department Supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Department Supervisor.
