This role offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge research in computer vision and robotics, focusing on 3D perception from passive sensors like cameras and IMUs. You will design and execute experiments to evaluate and refine deep learning architectures, turning state-of-the-art academic ideas into practical, deployable solutions. The position emphasizes hands-on research, innovation, and collaboration with engineering teams to develop robust models for perception, localization, and scene understanding. - Plan, design, and conduct experiments to evaluate and improve deep learning models for 3D perception and scene understanding.
- Research, implement, and adapt novel algorithms and architectures from recent ML publications.
- Collaborate with engineers to translate research findings into practical, deployable models.
- Extend state-of-the-art approaches in geometric computer vision and multimodal perception.
- Document and share experimental results to guide future model development and product directions.
- Participate in project planning, reviews, and retrospectives, providing technical mentorship where needed.
- Contribute to publications and the broader machine learning research community.
Requirements:
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven experience reading, implementing, and evaluating modern ML research papers independently.
- Strong skills in deep learning frameworks, experimentation, and model evaluation pipelines.
- Experience in version-controlled experimentation and familiarity with MLOps tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a track record of translating research insights into high-impact solutions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions across research and engineering teams.
- Publication record or active engagement in the ML research community is a plus.
