THE OPPORTUNITY - Clinical Psychologist (Child & Adolescent):
Some of the most important behavioral health work happens early in life. The experiences children and adolescents have today shape how they learn, develop relationships, and navigate the world around them.
As a Clinical Psychologist supporting pediatric behavioral health, you will work directly with children, adolescents, and their families helping them better understand challenges, build resilience, and move forward with the right clinical support. Through thoughtful evaluation, clinical insight, and evidence-based care, you will play an important role in helping young patients and their families gain clarity and direction during critical stages of development.
Working alongside physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, you will contribute to a collaborative clinical environment where psychological expertise informs care decisions and supports positive outcomes for these patients.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents assessing cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and development functioning.
- Administer, score, and interpret psychological and psychometric testing instruments used to identify behavioral health and developmental conditions.
- Develop diagnostic formulations using DSM-5 criteria based on clinical interviews, testing data, and collateral information.
- Provide individual therapy for children and adolescents, addressing emotional, behavioral, and adjustment-related concerns.
- Deliver family and parent counseling to support treatment planning and reinforce therapeutic strategies at home.
- Conduct psychological assessments examining environmental, developmental, and family-system factors affecting pediatric patients.
- Provide crisis intervention services when urgent behavioral health needs arise.
- Prepare psychological evaluation reports summarizing testing results, diagnostic findings, and treatment recommendations.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding the psychological functioning and treatment considerations for pediatric patients.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records in accordance with DoD and medical treatment facility standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Graduate from an APA-accredited doctoral program in psychology
- Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in a U.S. state or territory.
- At least one year of clinical experience within the past two years outside of internship or residency training.
- Demonstrated experience providing psychological services to children and adolescents.
- Expertise in psychological testing, pediatric behavioral health assessment, and therapeutic intervention.
- Strong clinical documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

- Services may also be required at associated medical clinics within a 40-mile radius of the primary medical treatment facility.
