AP SPECIALIST at Listen Up Inc – Denver, Colorado

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to lead our payables function. If you are the kind of person who gets excited about automating manual workflows, you’ll fit right in. In this role, you’ll be the gatekeeper of our vendor relationships. We need someone who bridges the gap between traditional accounting excellence and modern technical efficiency, and who will take full ownership of the AP cycle.

What You’ll Own:

● Full-Cycle Mastery: Drive the end-to-end AP process, including precise invoice coding, matching, and payment disbursements (Check, ACH, Wire).

● Process Optimization: Evaluate current workflows and implement tech-driven solutions to reduce manual entry and paper-heavy processes.

● Vendor Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and resolve complex billing discrepancies.

● Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee the collection and maintenance of critical compliance documents (W-9s, Sales Tax Exemption, Certificates of Insurance).

● Supplier Governance: Ensure subcontractors and suppliers remain in strict compliance with federal and local regulations.

● Operational Accountability: Take full ownership of the documentation lifecycle, ensuring all receipts and invoices are captured with accuracy and timeliness.

What You Need to Succeed:

● Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or a general accounting role with a heavy focus on payables.

● High School Diploma or equivalent

● Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with modern ERP systems or AP automation tools.

● Demonstrates a high degree of fiscal stewardship and an innate eye for detail.

● Ability to communicate professionally with vendor partners while observing commitment to internal policy.
