POSITION: Transporter

LOCATION: COMAT-McDowell County
HOURS: Full-Time

JOB DUTIES:

The Transporter provides safe, non-emergency transportation for individuals with mental illness, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. This role supports access to community resources, offering compassionate assistance in various settings—homes, hospitals, and the community—while helping prevent unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations through coordination with internal and external programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record
• Must be available by phone and possess a personal telephone
• Must be able to work traditional and non-traditional hours
• Experience with adults experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders required
• Proficient in using both personal and company vehicles
