Sr. Applications Engineer - Electronics

This role sits at the intersection of advanced materials science, customer engineering, and technical problem-solving, supporting high-performance adhesive solutions used in electronics manufacturing. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers across automotive, industrial, and medical sectors, helping translate complex application requirements into optimized adhesive solutions. The position blends hands-on technical work with consultative engagement, including product testing, validation, and performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with R&D, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product adoption and scalability. This is a highly customer-facing role where your expertise directly influences product performance, reliability, and innovation. You will also play a key role in identifying new opportunities and supporting commercial growth through technical insight.

Accountabilities:
  • Partner with customers to understand application needs and recommend appropriate adhesive and electronic material solutions
  • Lead technical discussions to qualify opportunities and align product capabilities with customer requirements
  • Support product evaluation, sample testing, validation, and production scale-up activities
  • Coordinate and interpret testing results from internal laboratories for customer applications
  • Troubleshoot bonding, dispensing, curing, and performance-related technical challenges
  • Deliver technical presentations, trainings, and product demonstrations to customers and stakeholders
  • Prepare technical reports, validation documentation, and customer-facing materials
  • Support business development activities including opportunity identification, quoting, and competitive positioning
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical support, or customer-facing engineering roles
  • Strong background in adhesives, polymers, electronic materials, or manufacturing processes
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience managing multiple projects and customer engagements simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, analytical mindset
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing environments (automotive, industrial, or medical preferred)
  • Familiarity with reliability testing, validation methodologies, and environmental performance standards is a plus
