Director of Product Design

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Product Design in Canada.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of product innovation, AI transformation, and enterprise design excellence. You will shape the future of a complex, data-driven platform used by global professionals to manage and activate relationship intelligence at scale. As the head of product design, you will define design strategy, elevate craft standards, and guide how AI reshapes user experiences across core workflows and emerging product areas. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership to influence roadmap direction, product vision, and long-term platform evolution. This role requires a strong design point of view, deep systems thinking, and the ability to translate complex enterprise needs into elegant, scalable experiences. It is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-moving environments where design directly drives business outcomes and product differentiation.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, grow, and mentor a high-performing product design organization, including hiring, coaching, and developing design talent as the team scales.
  • Define and uphold the design vision, craft standards, and quality bar across all product surfaces, ensuring consistency and excellence in execution.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape product strategy, roadmap priorities, and cross-functional operating models.
  • Own end-to-end design direction across enterprise product experiences, including core workflows, mobile experiences, and emerging AI-driven features.
  • Establish scalable design processes, rituals, and collaboration frameworks that balance speed, experimentation, and quality.
  • Drive the evolution of design practices in an AI-native product environment, integrating new tools and methodologies into team workflows.
  • Contribute to broader company strategy as a senior leadership voice beyond the design function.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in product design, including at least 7 years in leadership roles managing and scaling design teams.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality interaction design, visual design, UX research, and end-to-end product thinking.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise or complex SaaS products with deep understanding of professional user workflows.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect design decisions to business outcomes and long-term product vision.
  • Strong perspective on how AI is transforming product design, with experience applying or exploring AI-driven experiences.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with Product and Engineering leaders on both strategy and execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence executives, align teams, and clearly articulate design direction.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on empathy, feedback, and team development.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation including a base salary range of approximately CAD 168,000 – 210,000 (excluding equity and additional benefits)
  • Comprehensive health coverage for employees and dependents
  • Flexible personal and sick leave policies
  • Retirement savings plan (RRSP) support
  • Annual learning and development budget with structured L&D programs
  • Wellness support, including monthly reimbursements for internet, meals, and wellness-related expenses
  • Remote-friendly work environment within Canada
  • Virtual team-building activities and social events to foster strong team connection
  • Opportunity to work on a globally recognized, fast-scaling enterprise platform
