Job Title: Bill of Materials (BOM) Review Intern
Duration: Internship (Seasonal or Semester-Based)
Position Summary
The BOM Review Intern supports the accuracy and integrity of product Bills of Materials (BOMs) across systems. This role focuses on reviewing, validating, and improving BOM data to ensure alignment between engineering documentation, inventory records, and production requirements. The intern will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, Inventory, and Production teams to identify discrepancies and help maintain clean, reliable data that supports efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate Bills of Materials for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Compare BOMs against engineering drawings, work orders, and inventory records
- Identify discrepancies such as incorrect quantities, part numbers, descriptions, or missing components
- Assist in updating and correcting BOM data in ERP/MRP systems
- Support cycle count and inventory accuracy initiatives related to BOM integrity
- Document findings and track issues using internal logs or tracking tools
- Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams to resolve BOM issues
- Assist in developing standardized processes for BOM review and data entry
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to data accuracy and process efficiency

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials, inventory systems, or manufacturing environments
- Basic understanding of part numbering, engineering drawings, or production workflows
- Experience working with data entry or data validation
