Painter in Soldotna, Alaska at Central Peninsula Hospital

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Painter is responsible for performing skilled painting tasks for CPH-owned and certain leased buildings as needed. The Painter prepares, primes, and paints interior and exterior surfaces of buildings, fixtures, and furniture using brushes, rollers, and sprayers. Key duties include cleaning, sanding, and repairing surfaces (patching drywall), mixing colors to specifications, applying protective finishes, setting up scaffolding, utilizing lifts and ladders while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional job site. The Painter may be assigned other duties (including those in other craft areas) to accomplish the operational needs of the department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the Painter Trade — including paint applications to wood, metal, and stucco buildings
• State of Alaska Driver License
