SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Logistician I, II, III, IV.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking Logisticians at various levels in Norfolk, VA. Logisticiansdevelop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated withlife cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and related equipment insupport of the execution of customer contracts. Logisticians integrate thespectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition andwholesale environments. Exercising significant independent judgement anddecision making, Logisticians are responsible for directing the integratedlogistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, andproviding implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implementsdirectives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforcesstandards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained andequipped.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with key customer personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics and program activity.
  • Provide project management services, including the provisioning and analysis of technical data.
  • Using knowledge of customer expectations and SEACORP operations, develop and implement technical project management tools such as work plans, performance schedules, as well as responsibility and compliance matrices.
  • Direct and support the compilation and analysis of technical source data necessary for product development, procedural optimization and/or systems.
  • Communicate status of all project plans, progress, and results to program and company leadership, raising critical issues in a timely fashion.
  • Assess and maintain inventory and associated records; track supply/demand metrics to understand trend and performance.
  • Review available resources (e.g. commercial technical manuals, spec sheets, etc.) to identify potential replacement or alternative component sources.
  • Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements, conducting analysis and providing recommendations for improving processes and procedures.
  • Protect and control proprietary materials.
  • Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products.
  • Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.
  • Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations, choosing the best method of communication to ensure audience can effectively understand critical conclusions and issues/questions that require a decision.
  • Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities such as maintenance planning, repair analysis, and test equipment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimize negative impacts on a business.

Qualifications:

Education:

Logistician I, II, III - Bachelor’s Degree.
Logistician IV - Master’sDegree and Logistics DAWIA Level 3 certified or equivalent desired.

Experience:

Logistician I - 0 yearsof experience.
Logistician II - 3 yearsof experience.
Logistician III - 5 yearsof experience.
Logistician IV -10 yearsof experience.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
