Position Overview

The Parking Attendant & Driver contributes to a seamless guest arrival and departure experience while maintaining order in the parking & lobby areas. This includes assisting guests with directions, valet-style parking support, and overseeing the general upkeep and presentation of all guest and staff parking spaces.

Shifts: Full-time/Permanent. Days, evenings & weekends.

Wage: $25 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Guest Transportation, Parking & Assistance

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport guests, staff, and supplies as assigned.
  • Assist guests with luggage and provide courteous service upon arrival and departure.
  • Offer directions and assistance with parking as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times while representing the property.

Parking Lot Monitoring & Control

  • Oversee the use of parking areas to ensure proper organization and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Monitor for unauthorized vehicles and report incidents immediately to management.
  • Maintain a clean, hazard-free parking environment and assist with snow removal coordination when necessary.

Vehicle Care & Maintenance

  • Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections (fuel, cleanliness, tire pressure, etc.).
  • Schedule and report required maintenance or cleaning to the Rooms Division Manager.
  • Keep all company vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for use at all times.

Guest Service & Communication

  • Provide clear, courteous communication with guests and colleagues.
  • Immediately report any guest concerns, safety issues, or incidents to the supervisor.
  • Support the front desk team with additional guest service tasks when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation Lobby and Front Entry of hotel

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all driving laws, company safety standards, and guest privacy protocols.
  • Ensure all vehicle operations comply with insurance and licensing requirements.
  • Follow all emergency and incident reporting procedures.

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a valid commercial driver’s License (class 4 or equivalent). A clean driving record is required.
  • Previous experience in guest services, valet, or shuttle driving preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (luggage assistance).
  • Knowledge of Canmore area roads and routes is an asset.
