Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Community Manager in United States.
This role is at the heart of a fast-growing global developer community focused on workflow automation and AI-powered orchestration. You will help shape and scale a highly engaged ecosystem of builders, ambassadors, and contributors, with a strong focus on the US West Coast. Acting as both a community leader and on-the-ground operator, you will support events, strengthen relationships, and ensure that growth remains authentic and value-driven. The environment is highly dynamic, remote-first, and deeply technical, requiring strong autonomy and initiative. You will work closely with distributed teams while representing the community in person at events and meetups. This is a unique opportunity to influence how a world-class open-source-driven community evolves at scale.
- Grow and support the US ambassador network, acting as the primary point of contact for ambassadors across key regions
- Identify, onboard, and coach new ambassadors to help them run impactful and high-quality community initiatives
- Organize, host, and scale developer-focused events such as meetups, workshops, and community gatherings across the West Coast
- Ensure consistency and excellence in community event experiences, setting the standard for engagement and execution
- Collaborate closely with global teams and contribute to ambassador program development and strategy
- Support high-visibility events involving leadership visits and larger community initiatives, including conferences
- Gather and communicate community feedback, insights, and trends to internal product and growth teams
- Act as a public-facing representative of the community in events, online spaces, and developer ecosystems
- Based in San Francisco or the broader US West Coast, with strong local presence and network-building capability
- Experience in community management, developer relations, or similar roles within a tech or developer tools environment
- Proven background in organizing and hosting technical community events such as hackathons, meetups, or workshops
- Strong public communication and presentation skills, comfortable speaking at events and on camera
- DevRel or evangelist mindset with genuine passion for developer ecosystems and community building
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with distributed teams across time zones
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate community needs into actionable insights for internal teams
- Startup mentality with adaptability, speed, and comfort in ambiguity
- Nice to have: experience managing ambassador programs, familiarity with open source communities, and data-driven community tracking
- Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market standards
- Equity participation, giving you ownership in the company’s success
- Flexible paid time off, including vacation days, sick leave, and public holidays depending on region
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, and vision plans (US-specific options available)
- Retirement benefits such as 401(k) with employer match (US) or local pension contributions (EU equivalents where applicable)
- Financial protection including disability and life insurance (US)
- Annual learning and development budget for courses, events, books, or coaching
- Fully remote-first culture with occasional in-person offsites and team gatherings
- Monthly budget to support open-source projects you care about
- Unlimited access to AI tools to support productivity and innovation
- Strong culture of transparency, collaboration, and high trust
- Regular hackathons and innovation initiatives within a highly engaged global team.
