Credit Analyst at Sparrow Company LLC – El Paso, Texas

Sparrow Company is searching for a Credit Analyst to support a company in the cement industry in El Paso. This role will assist with credit analysis, collections, and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze customer financial data, including earnings, savings, payments, and purchasing activity to assess credit risk
• Produce weekly and monthly credit and financial reports for the Credit Manager
• Reconcile customer statements and maintain accurate customer records
• Maintain accounts receivable reports to support cash flow and minimize risk of default
• Conduct collection calls and occasional customer visits to resolve past due accounts
• Support sales team with credit approvals, lending decisions, and account management
• Collaborate with operations management and sales departments to support business objectives
• Monitor customer accounts and identify potential risks or issues
• Assist with general credit department operations and special projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required
• Experience with systems such as Apex, Command, or SAP is helpful but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Previous experience in credit, finance, accounting, or related field preferred
