Position SummaryThe Interim Director of Health & Wellness is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within the community, including assisted living and memory care services. This role will provide leadership, stability, and oversight during a temporary leave of absence, ensuring continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and team performance.
This is a temporary leadership assignment with potential for extension based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all clinical operations to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care
- Supervise and support licensed nurses and caregiving staff, ensuring strong team performance and accountability
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including RCFE requirements and HIPAA standards
- Ensure proper staffing levels and 24-hour clinical coverage
- Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with physicians, home health, hospice, and external providers
- Support ongoing clinical training and staff development
- Monitor and maintain medical records and compliance documentation
- Maintain a visible leadership presence with residents, families, and staff
- Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to ensure operational success

- Full-time schedule
- On-call and weekend leadership responsibilities as needed

Requirements: Qualifications- Current RN or LVN license in California
- Minimum 2–3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care
- Strong knowledge of geriatric care and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing clinical teams in a 24/7 environment
- Ability to step into a leadership role quickly and provide immediate operational stability
- Strong communication and organizational skills
