Position Overview

The Saw Helper supports the press and saw operations by assisting in the cutting, handling, and organization of aluminum extrusions. This position requires focus, safety awareness, and a strong work ethic to ensure materials are accurately prepared and handled.

You’ll work closely with the press and saw operators to maintain a smooth production process while keeping your work area clean and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation of saws and presses to process aluminum materials.
• Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Measure and verify material dimensions using a tape measure or other precision tools.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cuts and measurements.
• Report any safety issues, mechanical problems, or irregularities immediately.
• Wear proper protective equipment (including steel-toe shoes, eye protection, and face mask) at all times.
• Support the production team with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred, not required)
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, measuring, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret measuring tools accurately
• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Team player with a safety-first attitude
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, bending, and stooping during long shifts
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, industrial environment
