This position allows for personal and professional growth within a supportive remote environment.Accountabilities
- Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda.
- Render opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department.
- Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing as applicable.
- 2 to 6+ years of experience in litigation, specifically in insurance defense and/or personal injury (REQUIRED).
- Juris Doctor degree (REQUIRED).
- Admission to the New York Bar (REQUIRED).
- Ability to travel as required for trials, hearings, and depositions.
- Strong writing skills for professional documentation.
- Capacity to follow complex instructions and resolve conflicts.
- Effective organization and multi-tasking abilities.
- Adaptability to learn and apply extensive technical information.
