General Dynamics Electric Boat wants you to be a part of our mission to bring the latest Electrical Systems to the US Navy’s Fleet of Submarines. As a member of this team of diverse engineers you will work with to design, develop, test and deliver electrical systems to the shipyard and the US Navy Fleet.

Examples of the type of work this position entails:

    Develop and review changes to electrical system diagrams including system interfacesEvaluate electrical cableways design and routing drawingsTroubleshoot issues identified by construction teamWrite procedures to test and maintain electrical systemsInterface with internal customers to ensure the system is installed to planWork with operations to support installation and testEmphasis on mentoring junior personnel
Electric Boat offers Flexible Work Arrangements that allows some work to be performed remotely and at home. This varies from position to position based on the amount of classified material the department interacts with, as well as a few other variables. Qualifications

Required

    Minimum Associate of Science degree in electrical engineering or engineering degree with related electrical backgroundAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Level Clearance10 or more years of submarine shipbuilding experience
Preferred

    Prior defense contractor systems engineering experience Former submarine service Shipyard/manufacturing experience
