About This Position
Job Summary
The SEC Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation of external financial reporting for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings (10-K, 10-Q etc.). The position is also responsible for providing technical accounting support on complex business transactions and financial statement disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, as well as assisting with accounting close, if needed.
We are presently working a hybrid schedule of T-Th in office with the option to work from home on M and F. Subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion or business needs.

Core Responsibilities
Responsible for the quarterly preparation of corporate financial statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (10-Qs, 10-Ks, other SEC filings, etc.) utilizing Workiva and report directly into Senior Director of Accounting
Work with other departments to collect and compile supporting documentation for the SEC disclosures
Maintain built-in SEC reports within multiple systems within the organization (Netsuite, Leasequery, Certent etc.)
Assist in providing technical support to members of Finance, Accounting, FP&A and legal on the treatment of accounting issues in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
Research and document technical accounting issues for senior management
Assist in implementing and maintaining controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
Monitor and ensure timely identification of and compliance with evolving accounting guidance
Work to continuously improve the quality of financial statement disclosures to benchmark disclosures against competitors
Maintain the related SOX documentation for financial reporting
Participate in special business projects, such as complex business transactions, debt issuance/modification, etc.
Provide support to external auditors during audits and interim reviews
Assist accounting with the period close if needed
What You’ll Bring
Skills / Abilities / Competencies:
3+ years of public accounting (Big4) or SEC reporting preparation experience
Solid technical accounting background with extensive knowledge of current US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Prior experience with SOx 404 and internal controls
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Strong critical thinking, problem solving skills, and ability to be innovative and creative

Education & Experience:
5-7+ plus years of related experience; including supervisory experience with strong ability to mentor and develop personnel.
Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA preferred.
Public Accounting / Audit experience strongly preferred.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $130,000 - $135,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
