About This Position

Wonolo (Work Now Locally) is disrupting the $140BN temporary staffing industry. Founded in 2014, Wonolo's mission is to help people find consistent work. Through our two-sided tech marketplace, we connect hundreds of businesses in need of front-line workers with 2 million underemployed workers in local markets across the United States, within minutes. Wonolo has raised over $200M in funding which will continue to help us empower the in-demand workforce by democratizing access to flexible work, opportunities to learn new skills, a living wage, and comprehensive portable benefits and perks.
The Regional Manager is the P&L owner and business leader for a portfolio of Wonolo markets. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing the local strategy — from growing customer accounts and worker supply, to ensuring best-in-class fulfillment rates and operational consistency.
This is a hybrid role that blends strategy, operations, sales, and people leadership. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and customer success to drive performance in your region.
We welcome qualified candidates located within the Atlanta, GA, area and willing to be onsite.

What you'll do:
  • Own your market’s performance. Manage full P&L accountability — drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Develop and execute local strategy. Identify high-opportunity verticals (1099/W2, OnDemand/Ongoing) and submarkets; adapt national playbooks to local realities.
  • Grow demand and supply. Partner with sales to land new customers, engagement teams to grow and retain existing customers, and with recruiting to ensure strong worker onboarding, retention, and reliability.
  • Drive operational excellence. Ensure smooth marketplace performance — from job posting to completion — using data insights to optimize fill rate through reduced no-shows and improved conversion.
  • Lead and develop local teams. Manage a team of Recruiting Operators and Engagement Managers; set goals, coach performance, and foster a culture of accountability and empowerment.
  • Be the local voice. Serve as the bridge between the markets and leadership, providing feedback to product, central operations, marketing, and account growth on what’s working and what’s not.
  • Build community and brand presence. Represent Wonolo at local events, industry groups, and workforce development initiatives to strengthen our market positioning.
  • Be present with your customers. We expect that you will need to be in your markets and travel at least 30% of the time.

Who you are:
  • 7+ years of experience in operations, general management, marketplace, or P&L leadership roles (tech-enabled, logistics, or staffing preferred).
  • Proven success in building and scaling regional operations across multiple markets.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with deep comfort in metrics, dashboards, and financial modeling.
  • Strong people leadership experience — hiring, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; able to influence without authority.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and a passion for local market building.
