Lead the floor. Drive results. Build people.Position SummaryThe Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role leads people, schedules work, solves problems in real time, and ensures quality and safety standards are met every day.You’ll partner closely with Production Control, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to coordinate job orders, assign work, and make the daily decisions that keep production moving. If you enjoy leading teams, improving processes, and being hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this role may be for you.What You’ll DoLead & ExecuteLead and supervise employees across multiple departments, setting clear expectations and supporting daily execution.Own the daily production schedule, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.Serve as the central decision-maker for day-to-day production and manufacturing operations.Problem Solve & ImproveActively address issues as they arise and make critical operational decisions with minimal direction.Identify opportunities to improve production methods, workflow, and product quality.Partner with Engineering and Quality on new product launches and improvements to existing products.Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including kaizens and continuous improvement projects.People & CultureCoach supervisors and operators to embrace a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.Interview, train, and onboard new employees.Evaluate employee performance and conduct annual reviews.Set the tone for professionalism, ethics, and respect on the shop floor.Safety & CoordinationMaintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and regulations.Work closely with Maintenance to coordinate equipment repairs and minimize downtime.Adjust manpower levels, including overtime, to meet changing production demands.Track production results and complete required documentation and reports.Education, Skills & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.At least 2 years of supervisory experience in production, or 5 years in a team lead role with increasing responsibility.Proven ability to coordinate workflows across multiple departments.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods strongly desired.Work EnvironmentThis role is performed in a manufacturing environment and involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, and airborne particles. The position may occasionally involve exposure to non-weather-related heat. Noise levels are typically loud.Physical DemandsThis role requires occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and regular use of hands, arms, vision, and hearing. The position involves a mix of sitting, standing, walking, and occasional bending, stooping, or kneeling. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
