Manufacturing Engineer - Tooling at Arctic Cat – Thief River Falls, Minnesota

As we continue building our legacy, we are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to design and develop tooling for Arctic Cat.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling for manual and robotic welding, CNC machining, assembly and quality (QA) fixtures incorporating Poka-Yoke techniques.
• Design specialized automated equipment using hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronics for fabricating and checking parts.
• Work with all manufacturing and engineering groups to ensure tooling will meet process expectations and part specifications.
• Collaborate with tooling suppliers in build to print, design, and build situations to ensure tools meet expectations of delivery and performance.
• Analyze manufacturing and tooling problems and implement recommended solutions.
• Review and suggest new methods and processes for quality improvements and cost savings on tooling projects.
• Create assembly and parts drawings via CAD systems.
• Communicate and implement new product design review modifications and provide input on design for manufacturability.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering required
• Years of Experience: 3 years of related experience including machining and building tools; fixture and automated equipment design preferred.
• Software Knowledge: NX, 3D software, geometric tolerancing, AutoCAD, MasterCAM, Lean Sigma Green Belt
