Manager Physician Education & Outreach at King's Daughters – Russell, Kentucky

Responsible for overseeing physician education and outreach initiatives for coding and outreach initiatives for coding and clinical documentation accuracy. Coordinates with coding, CDI, and performance improvement teams to identify documentation inconsistencies requiring physician education. Provides targeted knowledge and resources to support accurate documentation and coding practices.

Essential Functions:

• Communicates audit findings and procedural updates to clinical teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

• Regularly provides comprehensive updates on procedural changes and evolving regulatory standards that impact coding and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI), ensuring physicians remain informed and compliant with current requirements.

• Designs, develops, and delivers targeted educational materials and interactive training sessions specifically for physicians, addressing identified gaps in coding and documentation practices, and promoting accurate, thorough, and compliant clinical documentation.

• Collaborates closely with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure educational initiatives are strategically aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and evolving best practices; facilitates regular communication and feedback loops to tailor training content, address emerging needs, and promote a unified approach to quality and compliance.

• Tracks and evaluates the effectiveness of training and outreach initiatives by collecting and analyzing performance metrics, soliciting participant feedback, and generating comprehensive reports to assess knowledge retention, skill improvement, and the overall impact on coding accuracy and compliance.

• Manages and oversees supervisor(s) and/or individual contributors.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree

Experience Requirement:

4-5 years of related/progressive experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Certifications & Licensures:

RHIA Certification, CPMA, CCDS, Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred
