About the Role
We are seeking a Hybrid Retail Lead & Loan Administrator to support both front-line retail banking and loan administration functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers while also supporting lending operations in a community banking environment.
You will assist with daily branch transactions and support lenders with loan origination, documentation, servicing, and portfolio management. Accuracy, professionalism, and strong customer service are essential to success in this role.
What You’ll Do
Retail Banking
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing
  • Balance and maintain a cash drawer
  • Open and service consumer and business accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, HSAs)
  • Educate customers on bank products, services, and digital tools
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all security and regulatory procedures
Loan Administration & Lending Support
  • Assist lenders with loan origination, closing, and servicing
  • Communicate with loan customers and act as a liaison when needed
  • Input and maintain loan data in the core system
  • Coordinate with third parties (appraisers, title companies, etc.)
  • Track documentation and follow up on outstanding items
  • Prepare and review loan and portfolio reports
  • Assist with annual financial statement collection and loan reviews
What We’re Looking For
  • Associate degree preferred, but not required
  • Banking, lending support, or cash-handling experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable using banking systems and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Professional, dependable, and adaptable
Training & Development
This position includes extensive training due to the combined retail and lending responsibilities. Most employees begin to feel comfortable in the role within 3–6 months, with continued learning over time. Some training may require travel to other branch locations. Attendance at the bank-wide training day on the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
