We are looking for a Business Development Associate to join our growing team in Houston, Texas.

Job Summary: The Business Development Associate is responsible for supporting strategic growth by evaluating, modelling, and presenting the financial viability of new business opportunities. This role partners closely with the Business Development, Finance, and Executive teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and rigorous financial assessment of all inbound and outbound opportunities.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and refine detailed financial models for potential partnerships, acquisitions, new products, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessments to quantify the impact of key assumptions.
  • Evaluate ROI, NPV, IRR, payback periods, and other relevant financial metrics.
  • Consolidate and validate inputs from cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, etc.).
  • Structure and develop full business cases and investment proposals for internal review.
  • Perform market sizing, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to support opportunity assessments.
  • Assess revenue potential, cost requirements, operational feasibility, and scalability.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership in clear, compelling formats.
  • Support the end-to-end evaluation cycle for deals, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a centralised database of financial models, assumptions, and analyses for all opportunities.
  • Assist with due diligence activities, including financial, operational, and strategic evaluations.
  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams to support term-sheet development and negotiation processes.
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools to track opportunity performance and pipeline status.
  • Provide insights on emerging trends, financial risks, and growth drivers impacting potential opportunities.
  • Deliver regular updates to senior stakeholders with clear, actionable insights.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in business development, financial analysis, corporate finance, consulting, or investment analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling (Excel/Sheets; modelling add-ins a plus).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with valuation techniques, financial forecasting, and scenario modelling.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and data visualisation platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross-functionally.
  • High level of business acumen and strategic thinking.
