JOB SUMMARY

This position reports to the Manager Operations (Service Delivery) and is responsible for blocking, run cutting, vehicle assignments, schedule making, scheduling material, analyzing vehicle hours and peak vehicles for multimodal transit utilizing scheduling software. The position assists with the implementation of scheduling software and software upgrades. The position prioritizes and produces schedule revisions and ensures adequate running times, recoveries and break periods. The position performs service delivery investigations and conducts interviews with employees related to schedules on the system and in the report areas. The position prepares reports and makes recommendations to improve service delivery.

The position coordinates all schedule documents including Operator and vehicle assignments, schedule changes, and special event services. The position prepares and maintain the scheduling database system used to coordinate timely presentation of scheduling material and documented information. The position provides support to the Manager of Operations (Service Delivery) to complete special projects. This position is required to establish and maintain a strong relationship with service units and other offices to fulfill requests, support special projects, and resolve issues. This position is required to demonstrate a commitment to safety that guides all aspects of work through consistent and professional behaviors in performance of the essential duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree with a major in public administration, transportation, statistics, or a closely related field required preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Four years in transit operations, maintenance, schedule making, or a related support function. Two years working with scheduling software preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Pay Rate: $71,800.00 per year
