About This Position
Job Overview:
The Senior Project Manager will actively champion the fulfillment of projects under their care by managing competing priorities and eliminating roadblocks with the support and collaboration of the team. Projects will include multiple product lines consisting of Medium Voltage Equipment, Low Voltage Equipment, Power Transformers, Controls and Monitoring as well as service coordination.
Responsibilities and Duties: Lead and drive multi-disciplinary and cross functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics and services to ensure successful project execution.
Direct all phases of project from inception through completion.
Responsible for financial, technical, quality, and schedule aspects of each assigned project.
Understand deliverables for each project assigned
Maintain urgency with stakeholders for deliverables
Be the principal participant for JDC Power Systems LLC in weekly jobsite Teams meetings with the individual job sites and communicate deliveries and issue resolutions.
Provide regular updates to team and management on work performed, plans, budget, and overall project status.
Proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Manage effectively all customer expectations.
Able to analyze deficiencies and timelines. Work with team to create new plans if results are inadequate or untimely.
Must be able to effectively communicate with outside suppliers at all levels from order management to senior management as required.
Responsible for report development and monitoring.
Identify areas of opportunity to better optimize plans/processes. Other duties as required or assigned.
Education & Experience: 8-10 years progressive experience in related field with successful demonstration of
Key Responsibilities and Knowledge: BE/BS/BA in related discipline or related work experience
Required Skills: Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and specifications.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
Proactive and solution oriented.
Ability to interact with all groups within the organization and achieve positive results.
Ability to interact directly with customers and vendors at multiple levels.
Detail oriented
Experience with contractors and change order management
Proficient with standard Microsoft Office Suite of products
Excellent oral and written skills
Travel Requirements: 10 - 15% travel to manufacturing facilities, job sites and corporate office with notice as needed
