Primary Objectives of Position:

The primary responsibility of the National Account Executive is to generate leads nationwide for all Account Executives. The National Account Executive also, achieves the designated sales goal through the identification of business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients and partners, developing, and maintaining a client database. Additionally, represent DCi professionally, competitively, and creatively on local, national and industry levels.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Manage first communication with potential clients and immediately introduce Account Executive, assigned by the Director of Sales & Business Development
  • Debrief assigned Account Executive with pertinent client information and program history
  • Remain involved in client communication led by the assigned Account Executive to maintain client relationship and ensure successful transition of account as needed
  • Achieve target lead and sales quota
  • Make actionable and insightful recommendations for new ideas on how to sell products
  • Schedule at least two sales trip or industry events each quarter
  • Develop and manage executive level relationships with clients and partners
  • Develop client base by obtaining leads through cold calls, referrals, and hoteliers, etc.
  • Responsible for qualifying all leads and developing idea for lead
  • Initiate tracking method to respond to all leads from hotels and clients
  • Participate in transition meeting by communicating "big picture perspective"
  • Continue to build client relationships by attending key sites and onsite program operation as needed
  • Attend local and national industry events and tradeshows
  • Call on assigned hotels
  • Develop and/or participate in FAM trips within market segment and hotels
  • Responsible for remaining current and knowledgeable of industry trends and developments
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in related field such as Business, Marketing, Sales, or related area
  • 10+ years’ related experience in sales, product marketing, advertising/promotions, partnership negotiating and contracting
  • Mastery of client development including cold calls, lead follow up, qualifying the client and sales presentations
  • Ability to prioritize workload, have very strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and possess a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to work well and demonstrate respect for colleagues with consistency with all levels of management, ownership, colleagues and staff
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals consistently
  • Ability to pitch DCi’s services to potential clients, supplier meetings, and industry/hoteliers
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays
