Your role as Software Developer Backend Platform

We are looking for Software Developers and Senior Software Developers (focus Backend) for 2 different teams.

About the Platform Development team

Dialogue’s Integrated Health Platform™️ supports the health and wellness of millions of people across 49,000+ organizations. We operate a reliable, highly-available, multi-tenant software architecture that powers several white-label mobile applications for our members, as well as desktop software used by our operations team to deliver care.

The Platform team’s mission is to streamline the development of these products by building and operating valuable platform technologies. These technologies aim to improve the security, reliability, and agility of the architecture and its data integrations as we continue to grow.


About the Scheduling and Forecasting Team

As Canada's leading virtual care provider, Dialogue is committed to helping millions of individuals improve their health and well-being. The Scheduling & Forecasting team powers the operational backbone that makes this possible: we build and run the systems that schedule our healthcare providers, forecast demand, and match patients with the right clinician across every Canadian jurisdiction. Our work directly influences SLAs, occupancy rates, provider workload balance, and the reduction of manual administrative effort across the company.

We'd love to hear from you if you have

  • Have 3-5 years + of meaningful backend experience : services, APIs, distributed systems, and data modeling.
  • Feel comfortable designing software and communicating with colleagues about your decisions and tradeoffs
  • Have familiarity with event-driven architectures, or willing to learn on the job
  • Have familiarity with data synchronization architectures, or willing to learn on the job
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development is a plus
  • Have built or contributed to automation-heavy systems, schedulers, decision engines, or domain workflows involving complex business rules.
  • Are comfortable integrating optimization logic (e.g., OR-Tools/CP-SAT) or ML-driven outputs into production backend flows.
  • Have experience with event-driven architectures, queues, or workflow orchestrators.
  • Care deeply about correctness, reliability, and idempotency, especially in systems that modify real-world schedules.
  • Are fluent in modern backend tooling: CI/CD, version control, automated tests, observability stacks, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Are comfortable working collaboratively across functions—with data scientists, data developers, DevSecOps, and operations teams.

Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
