About This Position
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment & Mechanical Support
- Assist with basic maintenance and repairs on production equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, and tooling
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
- Lubricate, clean, adjust, and replace worn parts
- Report equipment issues and abnormal conditions to senior technicians
- Electrical & Controls (Basic)
- Replace sensors, switches, lights, fuses, and basic electrical components
- Assist with troubleshooting motors, starters, and control panels
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures
- Facilities Maintenance
- Perform general building maintenance (lighting, doors, plumbing repairs, HVAC support, painting, patching)
- Maintain shop and facility cleanliness and organization
- Assist with facility upgrades and improvements
- Safety & Documentation
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Complete basic maintenance logs and work orders
- Properly use tools, PPE, and maintenance equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic computer or tablet skills for work orders
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods
- Preferred (Not Required)
- Trade school, technical certificate, or maintenance-related coursework
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems
- Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouses, or facilities (internship, shop helper, etc.)
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance concepts
Work Environment
- Manufacturing or industrial facility
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- PPE required (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves)
Schedule & Training
- Full-time position
- On-the-job training provided
- Opportunity to advance to Maintenance Technician II with experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Manual dexterity for tools and components
