The Sales Planning Manager will play a critical role in driving business growth by developing and executing sales strategies, managing inventory planning, and collaborating cross-functionally. This individual will focus on optimizing sales execution and operational efficiency across both CPG distributors and direct/eCommerce customers, including partners such as UNFI, KeHE, Walmart, Amazon, Target, and other key accounts. By working closely with sales, demand planning, and supply chain teams, this role will ensure seamless product availability, promotional planning, and strategic customer partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Drive sales planning efforts by aligning business objectives with customer strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
- New Item Launches & Inventory Management: Lead the execution of new product launches and limited-time offers (LTOs) across key accounts, ensuring seamless inventory planning and availability.
- Customer Collaboration: Partner with the Sales Team to develop tailored strategies for CPG distributors and direct/eCommerce customers such as UNFI, Whisha, Walmart, Amazon, Target, and other key accounts, optimizing sales performance and market growth.
- Demand Planning & Forecasting: Work closely with the Demand Planning Team to enhance forecasting accuracy and implement advanced planning strategies to support Direct customers.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, finance, and category management teams to drive successful sales initiatives and ensure alignment across departments.
- Performance Analysis & Insights: Monitor sales performance, analyze key trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize sales execution.
- Promotional Planning: Develop and execute promotional programs in collaboration with key stakeholders to drive customer engagement and sales growth.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales planning, category management, or demand planning, preferably within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret sales trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with planning tools such as SAP, Nielsen, or other business intelligence platforms.
- Customer-Focused: Experience working with CPG distributors and/or direct & eCommerce customers such as UNFI, KeHE, Walmart, Amazon, Target, or similar key partners is preferred.

The target annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
