The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for balancing customer demand, production planning, and
material supply to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role coordinates across demand
planning, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to maintain optimal inventory levels and service
performance.
Analyze demand forecasts and historical trends
Collaborate with sales and demand planning to validate forecasts
Identify risks (shortages, excess inventory, seasonality)
Production & Build Planning
Develop and maintain production schedules
Align manufacturing capacity with demand requirements
Coordinate with operations on constraints and priorities
Supply Materials Planning
Plan and release purchase orders for raw materials/components
Manage supplier schedules and lead times
Monitor inventory levels and adjust safety stock as needed
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with manufacturing, logistics, and finance
Support S&OP / SIOP processes
Communicate supply risks and mitigation plans
Performance Continuous Improvement
Track KPIs (service level, inventory turns, forecast accuracy)
Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency
Other
Assist department with tasks as needed
Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related)
2–5+ years of supply chain, planning, or manufacturing experience
Strong Excel, Google Docs, and data analysis skills
Preferred:
Netsuite experience
APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM)
Experience in manufacturing environment
