Job Description
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector I role is responsible for aiding the quality engineers and quality department. Inspector I is responsible for the day-to-day recording and validation of material between customers, vendors and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspects materials and products, for conformance to specifications.
- Inspects finished product for quality and customer requirements.
- Carry out policies and procedures for testing and evaluating product.
- Responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment.
- Working to Standard Operating Procedures (work instructions)
- Assist in recording of non-conformities of parts/product.
- Assist in the controlling/segregating of conforming vs. non-conforming parts /product.
- Ability to meet key performance metrics in a timely matter.
- Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your supervisor or manager immediately.
- Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.
- Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions.

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or GED, and up to one year work experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge
- Ability to perform calculations utilizing arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division normally attained through elementary school education.
- Ability to perform calculations utilizing algebra and fractions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Catia and/or Verisurf is a plus.
Communication Skills:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Requirements:
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
