Manager, Operations Support
The Manager, Operations Support reports directly to the Senior Manager, Operations and will oversee the Operations Specialists, including SRO candidates, and provide leadership in operational strategy, training, and regulatory compliance at Kemmerer Unit 1 (KU1). This role will ensure the successful development of Operations programs and procedures, facilitate initial license training (ILT), and secure an SRO license to support plant operations. The successful candidate will integrate and coordinate with other departments, project partners, regulators, and outside organizations working on the needs of the project.
Responsibilities
• Participate in training to obtain an SRO license for the Natrium plant.
• Mentor team members through ILT and facilitate their licensing process, ensuring readiness for operational tasks.
• Supervise Operations Specialists and SRO candidates, ensuring alignment with operational goals and compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain oversight of operational programs, including fire protection, fatigue management, license requalification, qualification tracking, clearance and tagging and, equipment labeling.
• Coordinate with other departments for cross-discipline procedure development, design reviews, and training development.
• Complete 10CFR50.59 and 10CFR72.48 reviews, as applicable.
• Consider and integrate use of cross-trained resources in procedure development, training development, and design reviews to improve organizational efficiency.
• Engage with industry peers, 3rd party vendors, ASME, NEI, EPRI, and other organizations to find innovative methods and technologies for the development of procedures, training, and the design of the plant.
• Ensure administrative and process implementation procedures comply with company standards, NRC regulations, INPO accreditation criteria, and other codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of plant design, plant operations, and discipline specific skills and techniques commensurate with the responsibility to develop procedures and training and perform effective design reviews.
• Assist the Sr Manager, Operations in establishing department goals and cost estimates that result in budgeted activities for the assigned area including specific project or subject matter areas as assigned.

Discipline-Specific Education and Experience
• Senior Reactor Operator license preferred. May accept Reactor Operator license or SRO Certification.
• 3 years commercial nuclear power plant operator experience.
• 5 years experience working at a commercial nuclear power plant.
• Bachelors Degree in science or engineering required.
• Meet requirements per ANSI/ANS 3.1 2014 4.3.6 for operations middle manager and Regulatory Guide 1.8 C.1.1 for middle manager.
Key Qualifications and Skills
• Experience with interpreting relevant nuclear information and standards in strict procedural and regulatory compliance.
• 2+ years of leadership experience at a commercial nuclear power plant
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading projects/initiatives which include many competing objectives and organizational constraints, with the ability to resolve conflicts between objectives.
• Experience leading diverse groups in the resolution of highly complex problems.

Salary Range Level 12: $ 154,851- $ 232,277
*We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
