In this role, you will lead and oversee the Sports Medicine Technical Support team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and operational excellence across technical support, order management, and case resolution. You will coach, mentor, and develop team members, while implementing process improvements and driving key performance metrics. The position requires cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Quality, and Customer Experience teams to resolve escalations, optimize workflows, and support organizational goals. You will also maintain hands-on technical proficiency to step in when necessary, ensuring seamless operations. Operating in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, you will directly impact customer satisfaction and contribute to meaningful outcomes in sports medicine and healthcare support. Occasional travel (up to 30%) is required to support training, team oversight, and operational initiatives.
Accountabilities:- Supervise, coach, and direct the Sports Medicine Technical Support team to ensure consistent, high-quality service aligned with organizational policies and standards.
- Oversee technical support, case management, and order processing, maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with procedures.
- Lead resolution of complex technical inquiries, coordinating corrective actions with cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Quality teams to remove operational barriers, implement process improvements, and support launches.
- Develop, review, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions, ensuring team adoption and compliance.
- Deliver virtual and in-person coaching and training to team members and internal stakeholders, providing feedback on performance and development areas.
- Track team performance metrics, monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and drive actions to improve productivity and service quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required; valid state drivers license.
- 5+ years of experience in a clinical, technically intensive healthcare environment, such as tissue banking, medical device support, operating-room assistance, or sports medicine.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience leading a team in a technical or clinical support function.
- Strong clinical knowledge of procedures, products, and allograft applications.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills to influence across organizational boundaries.
- Proficiency with ERP/SAP systems, Microsoft Office suite, and electronic documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
- Preferred: CTBS/AATB certification and direct field experience with biologics or operating-room support.
