JOB DESCRIPTION
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the monthly bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation/reporting and accounts receivable processing. The company expects this person to be motivated to develop, advance and grow professionally within Browning.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries
- Compile monthly and/or quarterly financial packages for both internal and external investors
- Manage billing/invoicing accounts receivable for 60+ entities
- Process deposits on a daily basis, including the posting of receipts
- Generate monthly delinquency and accounts receivable aging reports
- Manage, analyze, and audit tenant accounts to ensure correct billing
- Help Assistant Controller with other duties as needed including the preparation of monthly draw submissions and ad hoc projects
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required
· Internship experience with accounting specific responsibilities preferred
· Training in real estate investment software or similar accounting systems a plus
· Aspirations of obtaining CPA License a plus
