Position Summary: The Annual Giving Manager is a key member of the Advancement team, responsible for assisting with the strategy, management, and implementation of all annual giving programs to reach defined fundraising goals. This role serves as an active and visible representative of the Office of Advancement, fostering relationships across various constituencies to drive engagement and philanthropic support for the Academy.
Specific Duties Include:
  • Partner closely with the Director of Annual Giving to develop a comprehensive solicitation and engagement strategy for The Woodward Fund.
  • Serve as the primary contact and strategist for the Faculty and Staff Campaign, Senior Giving Campaign, and Young Alumni giving.
  • Assist in managing multi-channel Woodward Fund solicitations, including direct mail, texting, email campaigns, and digital fundraising efforts. Draft and edit copy for multi-channel communications as needed.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with external vendors for outsourced projects such as direct mail and event invitations.
  • Manage digital engagement strategies to increase donor participation, including email outreach, social fundraising campaigns, and managing social media content for annual giving.
  • Execute the stewardship processes related to annual giving levels.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of annual giving volunteers. Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer materials and requests.
  • Partner closely with the stewardship team to plan and execute logistics for annual giving events, including the President's Circle Dinner, new parent, and stewardship events.
  • Partner with the Director of Annual Giving to implement the Georgia Private School Tax Credit program strategy to maximize education, participation, and stewardship.
  • Attend school events to gain an understanding of the Woodward community and student experience.
  • Related duties as assigned.

  • Proven experience in volunteer, project and event management, preferably within a non-profit or educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the Academy professionally and warmly.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana (or similar project management software), email marketing platforms, and Raiser's Edge (or similar CRM).
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit, alumni relations, fundraising, event management, or an independent school setting preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including select evenings and weekends.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
The Annual Giving Manager, Advancement position is an exempt, 12-month position.
