About This Position

Operational Excellence Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Operational Excellence Manager in United States.
This role is responsible for driving operational improvements across multiple business units by implementing and scaling a Continuous Improvement (CI) framework. You will lead high-impact initiatives that improve service quality, reduce costs, and optimize unit economics by addressing root causes rather than symptoms. The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver with experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, capable of influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority. You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, from front-line staff to senior executives, and help embed a culture of operational excellence throughout the organization. This position offers the opportunity to shape processes in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while delivering measurable business outcomes. The role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and a proven ability to drive change across multiple functions. Domestic travel of 2030% may be required.
Accountabilities:
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute operational improvement initiatives across multiple lines of business to deliver measurable service quality and financial performance gains.
  • Leverage Lean and Six Sigma principles to analyze processes, separate signal from noise, and address root causes of operational inefficiencies.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations and present findings to cross-functional leaders to drive alignment and action.
  • Collaborate with digital product, engineering, and operations teams to implement technology, process, and people solutions that enhance performance.
  • Influence and guide cross-functional teams without direct authority, fostering engagement and adoption of CI practices.
  • Coach and train teams on operational excellence methodologies, including DMAIC, SIPOC, VOC, process mapping, value stream mapping, and 5 Whys.
  • Communicate effectively at all organizational levels, from front-line agents to senior leadership, to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are understood and adopted.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree required; industrial or process engineering strongly preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
  • 57 years of experience delivering results through Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement initiatives, preferably in high-volume, low-margin industries.
  • Demonstrated success in leading process improvement and transformation initiatives in organizations with emerging CI maturity.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect operational initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical and data evaluation skills, able to interpret structured and unstructured data to guide decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously, build sustainable systems, and drive improvements without direct supervision.
  • Familiarity with Human Factors Engineering is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary range of $100,000$130,000 USD.
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match and tuition assistance programs.
  • Flexible time off, paid sick leave, and ten paid holidays annually.
  • Bonus and incentive programs based on performance.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Travel and remote work support for effective onboarding and ongoing initiatives.
  • Family support and well-being programs to promote work-life balance.
