Position Description:

This position requires moderate periods of intense concentration, as well as average strength and stamina and good balance. Individuals must be goal oriented and able to take charge of individual projects. This position is considered a field position and will entail short-term field assignments and require traveling to and working outdoors in rough and remote terrain under challenging environmental conditions with an average amount of exposure to noise, dust, fumes, wildlife, diverse plant life, etc. and requires some travel to job sites.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Conduct Stream & Wetland delineations for Natural Gas Utility projects
  • Prepare, compile, and submit Chapter 105 Permit applications to necessary agencies
  • Respond to any agency comments on permit reviews
  • Perform Desktop environmental evaluations
  • Mapping, data collection, and management
  • Prepare proposals and budgets
  • E&S Inspections and Reporting
  • Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
  • Bachelors degree in environmental science, ecology, botany, wildlife management, natural resources, or related field is required
Skills/Experience:
  • Individuals must have 1-3 years of experience in freshwater wetland assessment/delineation, threatened and endangered species habitat evaluation, targeted surveys, environmental assessment, and permitting.
  • A valid drivers license and possesses own reliable transportation is required.
  • This position requires excellent organizational skills in order to accommodate multiple tasks simultaneously and excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills are required.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual and be able to work well with others.
