ScopeResponsible for supporting a variety of sales processes and customer services. Key contact with customers, the mill and sales. The work output/results requires a high degree of accuracy, organization and customer service.
Supports EWP plant and may act as backup to the EWP Customer Service Representative.
Responsibilities- Responds to customer needs (orders, delivery, etc.).
- Assists field sales representative, product managers and production personnel to support sales activities and customer relationships/services.
- Has accountability for customer satisfaction and supporting business objectives (to maximize profitability and customer relations).
- May initiate sales and promotion inquiries for various products/customers.
- Handles freight/trucking specialist activities.
- Works with shipping personnel to ensure timely customer deliveries.
- May develop corresponding reports and provide product/sales information to internal and external contacts, customers and team members.
- May assist in development and maintenance of new reporting systems and procedures and software applications.
- Demonstrates a commitment to the process of continuous improvement, identifies and responds actively with to the needs of all customers and is open and responsive to change.
High school diploma, or equivalent. Two (2) years college level training in business related field is preferred or equivalent work experience. Prefer more than five (5) years of experience in related job function. Must have demonstrated customer service and production scheduling experience. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills, as well as strong quantitative skills, e.g., to apply mathematical calculations/concepts involving fractions, decimals and percentages. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), and other software is required.
