About This Position
G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.
We are seeking a Security Analyst, reporting to the Director of IT Operations and Cyber Security, to play a critical role in protecting the organization's information systems and data from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Your primary objective will be to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using advanced tools and methodologies, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies and procedures that align with global security standards. By analyzing security alerts and conducting thorough investigations, you will help mitigate risks and prevent potential breaches. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to maintaining a robust security posture that supports the organization's operational continuity and trustworthiness.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools and Intrusion Detection Systems to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents
- Perform vulnerability assessments using scanning tools to identify and remediate security weaknesses
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures in accordance with global security standards and best practices
- Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure compliance with data loss prevention strategies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, investigations, and remediation actions for reporting and audit purposes
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to proactively enhance the organization's security posture
What You Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field
- At least 5 years of general IT experience
Preferred
- Proven experience in incident response and incident management within an enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM and Intrusion Detection Systems
- Experience working in a global security operations center (SOC) environment
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as ISO, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages to automate security tasks
- Advanced training in threat intelligence and malware analysis
- Strong understanding of security policies, data loss prevention techniques, and global security frameworks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure during security incidents
